Item ID's differ

Configuring MH to hide items/ gold give strange results. High runes + gold have IDs where regular normal items where, Jewels count as Set and Gems...
Mousepads offer the possibillity to easy adjust the vocabulary file. Would just need the textfiles from Mod.

Mousepads MH allow to edit item IDs. It should be possible to extract them out of the MODs txt files. But they are already converted to .bin so if the Admins dont publish theyr secret datas there is nothing we can do.

You certainly don't need the text files. You can configure MH to show you the IDs.

Come on, already send you a PM and saw you online elsewhere. How can i configure maphack to show the new itemids?

I still say it works the other way! Thats why i reqeust the fitting txt files since they arent included in the mod itself.

Most people dont understand it and blindly trust theyr predefined config. The ammount of not found socketables, runes and other items may be pretty high.

I`m not sure what are you trying to do. At this point mousepads mh included in mod does not hide any unique items or runes. It hides only magic items and low quality normal items with or without sockets.

Btw I think that Numpad No. 4 shows items ID in mousepads MH.

I want to edit what it hides and show. But it doesnt work that way because IDs of items range into the next Item Type. In case of Runes i already found out that a Highrune have the same ID as a Axe in unmodded D2.
This is for many things not just runes. It can be that its just like 20-30 new items in front making all IDs that exact number higher. It cn be a total mess. Or somewhat else or between.

But if i want to highlight a 5 socket etheral Balrogblade in color RED its just frustating if this does highlingt 5 socketed Cuiras instead!

And no its not just Balrog Blades the setup needs to be done for XX Runewords + XX Modspecific Runewords, HRs should be highlighted as well and so on.

Made a config again from scratch today to test it and it doesnt hide:
(Yes before thats asked and doubted in a few pages i used )

Item Colours[Normal Armor][5]: -1, -2
Item Colours[Normal Weapons][5]: -1, -2
== still show normal sets

Item Colours[Normal Weapons,Exceptional Weapons][Rare]: -1, -2
Item Colours[Normal Armor,Exceptional Armor][Rare]: -1, -2
== still show some normal exceptional rares

Item Colours[Bolts, Arrows, Antidote Potion, Thawing Potion]: -1, -2
== still shows em all

Item Colours[Breast Plate][1,2,3,4,5,6]: -1, -2
==you guess it still show breast plates but hides any yet unknown item instead

Item Colours[ALL][Rare]: -1, -2
== realy hides all rares = condition everything thats rare is hidden since just ids differ

but as i stated before the mods IDs are different so we are always HIDING ITEMS WE DIDNT CONFIGURE TO HIDE
or we still SHOW ITEMS WE JUST CONFIGURED TO HIDE not as worse as it sound
BUT INSTEAD It WILL HIDE ITEMS WHICH HAVE THE ID OF THE UNWANTED ITEMS THAT ARE FALSELY SHOWN.

There should be a few textfiles in the mod which could be more or less easy convert into mouspads vocabularyfile.
Checking each Item ingame is a small start but left out so much and i never get the "wrongly" hidden items

Since we started hosing a private server in 2002 we have never included txt files in our mods. We do not intened to do it now.

This is what I added to hide all blues and yellows. Too bad it doesn't show charms on this version.

Rune Colours[1+]: 8, 8

Orange names. big red x on auto map

Item Colours[All][Unique]: 7,8

Gold names. big blue x on auto map

Item Colours[all][4,6]: -1, -2

Charm Colours[All][Magic]: Purple

God i feel like iam explaining rocket sience to my dog and always get do you eat that than as response.

I request the bugged item IDs. Since i CANT exctract them from the Mod! (at least not in a reasonable ammount of time and whoover think of that should go to hell!)

There is no need to include TXTs into th Mod for that.

All the last Answers i got work and dont because IDs are rearanged and off scale. The included maphack have a bug where it doesnt recognice itemgroups(which the original does) plus i highly suspect that there was some drunk cracy batshit dictator on crystal meth adding items with more than one ID.

There is no harm or risk in releasing txtfiles with itemids and crap only that other people may be able to find out cube recepts, runewords and how to propper configure that bugged maphack.

If the files got just stolen from some baltic attic and its feared that people start making theyr own server with some txt files, it is no deal to say there arent some avaliable instead of rendering around the solution with spooky reasons why no solution or problem is present.

@equimanthorn and moogie All works as i posted before but try to show rare elite Weapons while hiding other rares to find one of that precious XXX damage weapons.
Yeah in that Config you miss Charms thats what i try to explain since ages and nobody seems to understand. Without fixing, repairing or publishing the propper IDS we always cut our own legs

Or try to get a armor for a runeword like this:
Item Colours[all][2,3]: -1, -2
Item Colours[Elite Armor][2,3]: gold
(wont work but should)

You don't need the txt for mh config. We have given you the extra lines to add to mh to hide crap items. The only reason you need the txt files would be if you wanted to hijack our mod or add our items to another mod. I just checked to see if you even have a realm account an behold you don't. Do I have to say anything more about what I believe your actual motives are?
